Woman Gets Hit In The Knee With A Flare During Protests in Greece

Every year on November 17, protesters in Athens, Greece, march for the commemoration of the 1973 Polytechnic Students Uprising against the junta. This year went a little different when things got insane and the protest turned into chaos. During clashes between protesters and riot police, a 55-year-old woman was hit with a flare from anti-establishment protesters that lodged in her leg. I know that it must have hurt like hell, but Jesus.. that screaming.. somebody knock her out. The woman was a lawyer, and was at the protest to help protesters who may have been arrested. She is still in the hospital, she is intubated and cannot breathe on her own but is showing slight improvements.

  1. So why was that guy power patting her head? I’m not sure if he was trying to comfort her, didn’t really like her or maybe was trying to distract her from the pain.
    It just seemed strange!
