14-Year-Old Girl Shot in the Mouth By Brazilian Military Police

On May 1st, without a warrant or legal justification, the Minas Gerais Military Police arrived at a camp to evict over 100 families from where they were occupying land at the Manoel Aleixo Occupation in Mario Campos, Brazil. The families.. having nowhere else to go and the majority being children and elderly tried to negotiate with the military police but they were having none of it. Things became chaotic when people started being forcibly removed from the camp, and during all the chaos.. a military policeman opened fire with rubber bullets and shot a 14-year-old girl in the mouth. The girl was taken to Mario Campos’ Basic Health Unit and then transferred to Hospital Joao XXIII. She had several broken teeth but is recovering.

This is not the first time the police in this particular district have injured a child. Back in March, a 13-year-old girl was killed at her school after being shot in the head by a stray bullet fired by military police.

Thanks to @MrsPink.

Girl gets shot around the 2:10 mark.

  1. @yournextexgirl awesome post. Nothing highlights the plight of moddern human stuggle like beeing forced out of your home at gunpoint. People like to think shit like this doesnt happen but it wont be long before its happening to more people on a wider scale. Not the first time in history that people were considered squaters.
